50 Cent Becomes Accidental Bitcoin Millionaire: Back in 2014 Rapper 50 Cent let fans purchase “Animal Ambition” for just a fraction of a Bitcoin — making 700 Bitcoin from sales. And then he forgot about it until this week! Based on today’s valuation, this is worth between $7 and 8 million dollars. He’s tweeting things like “Not bad for a kid from South Side, I’m so proud of me.” and “Ima keep it real, I forgot I did that s–t lol.” (LINK)

Snapchat Adding Shareable Links (Outside Snapchat): Snapchat users will soon be able to share Stories to their social media accounts (or text and email) with a link to a webpage where content is viewable whether you have Snapchat installed or not. Story portability has been a key part of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram’s strategy lately, so we’re not surprised at this move. It’s a move copied from other social networks versus the other way around (for once). (LINK)

Instagram Adding GIFS: GIFS (pronounced like “gift,” by the way) are coming to your Instagram Stories. To access the GIF stickers, tap the add sticker button at the top of Stories, select the new GIF option, and a library of GIFs will appear. Everything is starting to look more and more like Myspace, right? (LINK)
RIP Cashiers: This week Amazon’s autonomous grocery store opened in Seattle — designed to let anyone walk in, pick up things to buy, and walk out without standing in line or opening a wallet. It was so popular there was a block-long line to check out in the store where you don’t have to stand in line! Still some kinks to work out, but this kiosk and wireless checkouts will continue to be highly disruptive to the retail industry. (LINK)

#DigitalDetox: Watch this time lapse video of a man building a log cabin by himself from scratch. It’s enough to make you want to buy some forest in Northern Minnesota, eh? (LINK)
